Commercial Electricians in Trafford
We attend commercial and industrial sites throughout Trafford, with Trafford Park forming a major concentration of manufacturing, logistics and warehousing. These premises can contain extensive three-phase distribution, machinery, high-level lighting and multiple boards, so inspection and alteration work needs industrial experience and a clear isolation plan.

Commercial EICR & Fixed Wire Testing
Trafford Park and other large sites can contain numerous boards, three-phase circuits, machinery and areas that cannot all be isolated at once. We plan EICR testing around the operational layout, define the scope and limitations and record results so facilities teams can understand both the condition and the extent of the assessment.
Commercial Electrical Installations
From minor distribution upgrades to complete industrial and office fit-outs. Our certified engineers design, configure, and install robust three-phase systems, modern containment networks, and intelligent infrastructure built to scale with your operations.
Commercial Electrical Maintenance
Protect your assets and eliminate costly operational downtime. We offer tailored Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) frameworks and rapid out-of-hours reactive repairs to safeguard machinery uptime and corporate property networks.
Frequently asked questions - FAQs
What electrical challenges can industrial premises in Trafford Park present?
Large industrial premises can contain extensive three-phase distribution systems, machinery, control equipment, high-level lighting and multiple distribution boards installed or altered over many years. Inspection and maintenance therefore require careful planning, suitable commercial and industrial experience and coordination of electrical isolation around production and operational requirements.
What happens if a commercial EICR identifies electrical defects?
Under BS 7671:2018+A4:2026, observations are classified according to their safety significance. C1 means Danger Present and requires immediate remedial action; C2 means Potentially Dangerous and requires urgent remedial action; and C3 means Improvement Recommended. C1 or C2 observations result in an unsatisfactory EICR. The responsible person can then arrange remedial work appropriate to the findings.
Does every commercial EV charger require a Type B RCD?
No. The correct protective arrangement depends on the charging equipment, electrical installation, earthing arrangement and protection incorporated within the charging equipment. BS 7671 contains specific requirements for EV charging installations, including residual-current and other protective measures. The appropriate arrangement should therefore be determined as part of the electrical design rather than assuming every charger requires the same type of RCD.
What does a C1 code mean on an EICR?
C1 means Danger Present and indicates an immediate risk of injury. Immediate remedial action is required. The person responsible for the installation should be advised without delay so appropriate action can be taken to remove the danger. A C1 observation results in the EICR being assessed as unsatisfactory.
Does Amendment 4 mean an older Trafford property must be rewired?
No. BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 does not mean that an existing installation must automatically be completely rewired simply because it was installed to an earlier edition of the Wiring Regulations. During an EICR, the installation is assessed for continued service and observations are classified according to their safety significance.
