New LED tubes, panels or fittings take the place of the old ones, and the circuits are checked and tested before handover. It cuts energy use without the cost and disruption of a full lighting redesign.

NICEIC LED retrofits that keep the layout and change the light source

A retrofit keeps the lighting positions and upgrades the light source. It suits buildings where the layout is acceptable and the cost of a full redesign cannot be justified. It still needs an electrician who will check whether the existing control gear, emergency modules and wiring can take the new lamps, because not every fitting is a straight replacement.
