Electrical testing measures how well an installation is performing, not just how it looks. Tests check that circuits are correctly connected, that protective devices will operate when they should and that earthing is effective. The readings are compared with the requirements of BS 7671 and recorded, giving you evidence of the installation's condition.

Electrical testing that measures the installation, not just how it looks

Looking at a board tells you very little about whether a circuit will disconnect in time, whether the earthing is effective or whether insulation has deteriorated. Electrical testing takes those measurements and compares them with BS 7671. The numbers, not the appearance of the accessories, are what show the condition of the fixed wiring.
