An electrical fit-out is the electrical work needed to turn an empty or tired space into a working one: power, lighting and supplies for equipment, all planned around the layout. It is normally done in two stages, first fix and second fix, alongside the other trades, and finished with testing and certification before you open.

An electrical fit-out turns a shell or a tired unit into a space that can trade or be occupied. Power, lighting and supplies for equipment have to follow the layout, and they have to be coordinated with the other trades so first fix is in before the finishes and second fix is ready when the space needs to open. Done late or without a clear scope, the electrical work becomes the item that holds up handover.
